DirectX to transfer the sound generated on DSP cards (TMS320C6000) to the
PC sound card.
• Performed code design, optimization, integration, debugging and
tuning of over 100 real-time software sound models on over 30 flight simulators,
using C/C++ on TMS320C44x and TMS320C60x DSP based cards.
• Analyzed acoustic data of 7 different aircraft types, edited, and
integrated the sounds into the simulation software models.
• Member of a team of 4 to 5 engineers who support the installation
and certification of the flight simulators at the customer site, internationally.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the analysis, design and integration of the flight
simulator sound systems
• Analyze aircraft sound recordings in order to extract relevant spectral
information.
• Design and implement real-time computer models for reproduction
of the various aircraft sound effects.
• Implement and tune the simulated sound effects using both subjective
and objective methods.
• Interact with the customer both at CAE and at the customer's site.
• Participate in flight test data gathering to perform the sound recordings
on the actual aircraft.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Increased the quality and efficiency of software model and design
procedures.
• Designed a utility to automatically test speaker frequency response,
for simulator maintenance and certification. Hence reducing time required
identifying performance issues.
